vaci Organic Camellia Farm (since 2011)
The farm is located in a beautiful hilly village of Ji’an in Jiangxi province, far away from urban industrial pollution. The subtropical climate provides abundant precipitation and sunlight which are favorite to the growth of camellia trees.
The farm covers more than 60 hectares and soil is red or red yellow. Since its construction, the farm has been adhering to organic practice, forbidding any usage of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The farm cuts grass by hand and drives pests in physical ways. Under the inspection and guidance of Organic Food Development and Certificate Center of China (OFDC), the farm is strictly managed to ensure the health and safety of soil and its produces.
The farm has been using organic fertilizers to revitalize the soil and increase organic substances. Up to date, the soil has been significantly improved, better for water and fertility conservancy. Besides applying fertilizers in deep holes around roots in winter, the farm also sprays liquid micro-element nutrients during critical periods including budding, blooming and fruition.
